7/6: Liebestrasse launches!
Print edition in all bookstores next Tuesday 7/12 (and in comic book stores now)!!!
Hello! June was wild and I’m taking a moment to gratefully summarize the whirlwind!
The ALA (American Library Association) Annual Conference was amazing! Tim and I met a ton of librarians and educators who were interested in learning about our graphic novel and were very supportive of my first major publication as writer/co-creator.
We gave out promotional postcards with QR codes as well as the promo posters Comixology made for us for the initial digital release.
We also beta-tested making videos for promotion! As Instagram pivots towards preferencing video content and “BookTok” is the preferred way for readers to share their favorites… we need to be there to connect with readers!
We got to hone our sales pitch with patient educators and they gave us so much great feedback and information about library sales in general. We definitely accomplished all my goals and will continue to look to other book festivals in the future for LIEBESTRASSE…
Last week on June 29th, comic book shops got their copies of LIEBESTRASSE and I bopped around the city looking for the book on the shelves. My friend, John Mirch, snagged a copy at Midtown Comics and we documented it for the internet.
Two weeks ago, we have a pre-release party here in New York City and I was lucky enough to be surrounded by friends and family!!! The lovely and talented Gustavo Monroy was on hand to take photos and I’m never having a party without a professional photographer again!
Have you ordered LIEBESTRASSE yet? There’s still a week to pre-order from bookstores and we’ve made it easier for you and put all the links in one place: ReadLiebestrasse.com
Thanks for all your support and kind words across the internet! Between launching this book and the reaction to our DC PRIDE anthology story, I’ve been overwhelmed in all the greatest ways! I’m so lucky to do what I love and experience this moment.
Next week, I have TWO exciting events at local bookstores with amazing friends!!!
First up is WORD Bookstore in Jersey City on Wednesday, July 13th at 7 pm!
RSVP here for the free event! Space is limited!
And the next day (7/14), at Kew & Willow in Kew Gardens, Queens at 7 pm with Alex Segura and Jeremy Holt!
RSVP here because space is also limited here and the event is free!
In the meantime, have a great week and I’ll be sending another update very soon!
Thanks for reading,
Greg
So much great news!!!
