I can’t believe it’s the end of September! It was a really nice summer for me personally and it flew by while promoting my comic book work!
The release of TRICK PONY was gigantic fun and I’m so glad I travelled to Long Beach, San Diego, and exotic Brooklyn to support our graphic novel’s release.

I was also on a number of great panels and podcasts in support of my books! I’ll include them in this newsletter as I collate and update my website.
Matt Baume is a brilliant interviewer (and writer)! I was so elated to be asked to guest on THE SEWERS OF PARIS and I think the conversation turned out to be great. Please give it a listen and hear me “wax poetic” on one of my all-time favorite films: WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT. Drawing connections between it and the emotional beats of LIEBESTRASSE and the world-building of TRICK PONY really was a lot of fun and rings true on a subconscious level I was not truly aware of before talking with Matt.
Blake was an early interview in the TRICK PONY publicity blitz and I was so touched by his reaction to the book and how lovely this entire conversation was! I need a better camera set-up but I hope you check this video out! It’s a sin that it only has 10 views so far!!!
And this interview with Rebelle Summers for GEEKS OUT was wonderful, too! It’s extra special when other writers “get” what you are doing and are in for the ride: https://www.geeksout.org/2024/07/03/rebelle-interviews-writer-and-editor-greg-lockard/
The most important update is that TRICK PONY is officially available on my website now! Price includes USPS media rate shipping for friends and family (and newsletter subscribers)!
I didn’t want to start a sale on my website too quickly and affect the comic book shops and independent book stores that are so supportive! Always ask at your local shop if they have my work (or other favorite writers/artists/etc!) or if they can order it! Or request it at your local public library and support books massively that way by helping them get discovered by other smart library go-ers!
If all that fails and you’d like to directly support me, you can order TRICK PONY at the link below and I will sign it for you (and include other goodies)!!! I really appreciate the chance to send the books to you directly, too!
Thank you again for reading this newsletter! I’m pitching new books and generally very excited about the future between all these new ideas and all the great client work I’m lucky to be a part of right now!!!
I will get this newsletter on a monthly schedule through the end of the year! 🤓 We’ve got books to sell and ideas to share!
Take good care and talk soon,
Greg
